Conversations from the Corner Office

The other day Jess asked me what was going around these days, and it got me to thinking...hanging around the Pediatrician's office is good for more than just free formula; you get to find out what bugs are lurking on the playground. Here's this week's PSA:

Lots: Basic cold with coughing, runny nose and more coughing. +/- fever
Little: Flu (not the stomach kind, the influenza kind. Body aches, fever, sore throat, cough). The flu vaccine and the flu strain match up beautifully. The anti-virals, on the other hand, are of little help against this year's virus. The moral of the story: it is a great year to vaccinate. And it's not too late. I am going to vaccinate Ella next month (when she's 6 months).
Lingering: Diarrhea and vomiting. But not necessarily at the same time. Could be one day of D, one day of V, two days free. Then start the cycle over again. How fun.

Stay tuned for next week!

Good things to know. I am pretty sure both I and Rome had that nasty one. For over a week. IT was pretty yucky. Josh got lucky and missed it.

Gosh...you are such a good person to know! I am fairly certain we had the first one.

Glad Avery got her flu shot...but I haven't. How dumb am I?

You would think that by not being around children any more that I wouldn't get as sick as I used to. But NO! I have already had to GOOD colds. I read the article that you put on your blot about "child's play". Did you know that the Smithsonian's newest toy display is simply a stick. All children love a stick to play with. Laura

My spelling is atrocious. That's what happens when you go faster than your mind is reading. Sorry!

This week, we have had the cold with the excessive coughing and the lingering V and D thing. So, I guess we just fit in the "normal" pack.
