cleaning and scrubbing...

I found this poem on my cousin's blog. It sounded familiar to me, but I couldn't quite place it. Then my mom showed me this, that she made when I was a baby.

I have it hanging in Anna's room and I love it. My house is by no means always clean, but I spend a lot of energy fretting about it. This is a good reminder to calm down and enjoy the fleeting time I have with my newborn.

Nursery, nearly done

Most of you have seen the nursery, but Camie reminded me that she hasn't seen it and I haven't posted any pictures since it's been done. Well, nearly done. I still need to recover the blue rocker. If anyone knows where I can get upholstery fabric in good patterns (brown with polka-dots, brown with stripes, yellow with polka-dots, yellow with strips, etc) let me know. Thanks to Jamie for making the flower wall hanging. She's good to have around.

Nursery in Progress

The nursery is nearing completion. I still need to get a crib (long story, but "no hardware" doesn't just mean missing screws), curtains, recover the chair and put things on the wall. Things are coming along!
