I also liked Sarah's Key and just bought Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet so good to hear that it's good. I just finished The Elegance of the Hedgehog and liked it. Too bad you don't live closer....I could give you a bunch of books.
Janice--I think I will read the Hunger Games. Sounds like good reads to take my mind off the 48 hours of traveling! I love I capture the Castle, but haven't heard of the others. Excited to try. I haven't watched NE since it aired. Loved it.
Thayer--All three sound good. Is The Whistling Season the one with the off ending?

Cam--I read The Tipping Point, and loved it. Blink and Outliers are on my list.

Some recent, enjoyable, not too heavy reads.........
1. A Guide to the Birds of East Africa.....charming 2. Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie....fun mystery 3. I second Lauren't Prizewinner....loved it!!! 4. Dewey......sweet, true story for us library and book lovers. 5. Also by Ivan Doig.....English Creek and Dancing at the Rascal Fair.
I also like many of the ones already mentioned. You should be in good reading shape!!!
Wow, sounds like you got enough suggestions. Here's one for Ella in the future. Hooway for Wodney Wat. Hilarious. Both of my kids laugh histerically at it and Bea laughs just because Henry is laughing. I hope you have it at the library.
