Oh-bana

Yesterday I saw a 6 year old girl who had a cold. I asked her how she was feeling. She replied by telling me,"I got all ready for school today, but then I couldn't go because we had to watch a show about the Presidents. All my friends stayed home, too." I asked her what she thought about our new president. "He is Oh-bana. He has two girls." I pressed a bit more to see if she understood any of the historic significance. Nope. Just Oh-bana, the new President. It was heartening to see this young girl more interested in his young children than the color of his skin. Made my day.

Thanks.

How sweet. It is truly a beautiful thing to behold. And it made me proud to see the peaceful transfer of power, with our new president walking down Pennsylvania Ave. to cheering crowds. I wish that he will feel the guiding hand of God in helping him to uphold this great nation and the principles that girder it. An amazing moment in time, to be sure.

I think that is one of the coolest things about this election is that he was elected based on his merits. Yes, it is going to go down in history but that isn't what it is all about and I love that. I also love the look of your blog. Cute.
